Suspected stolen vehicle leads to firearms charges

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from Wellington County have arrested three people in Mount Forest.

At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 27 officers said that they observed a grey pickup truck that they believed to be stolen.

OPP said that they approached the three individuals with the truck and as a result of their investigation they have recovered a variety of firearms.

A 41-year-old woman from the South Bruce Peninsula, a 31-year-old man from Woodstock, and a 21-year-old woman from central Huron are facing a variety of weapons, drugs, and probation charges.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
