Fire crews respond to drive shed fire

Minto Fire responded to a fire early this morning.

At 1:30 a.m. this morning, fire crews from the Palmerston and Clifford stations were dispatched to the incident at a rural residence northeast of Harriston. Mutual aid from Wellington North Fire was provided as well. When crews arrived on-scene, the structure, a drive shed, had smoke and flame showing from the sides. There were no occupants in the building and no injuries were reported. No cause has been determined yet.

Damages are estimated at $75,000.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
