UPDATED: Protesters plan to hit the road in Huron County Saturday

People opposing public health restrictions are planning another convoy in Huron County Saturday, February 12, 2022. Public health officials recommend vaccinations and masks in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Protester Randy Banks reached out to CKNXNewsToday.ca and said, "People have had it with ineffective measures to slow the spread after two long years. It is time for life to go on."

A Facebook post says the "Slow Roll to Exeter" is about spreading awareness.

Participants will be meeting at various locations in the county including Goderich, Wingham and Seaforth. They plan to gather in Exeter by afternoon.

Huron Perth Public Health reported 16 fatalities since January due to COVID-19.
