Brockton declares significant weather event

As of 5:30 a.m. Saturday, the Municipality of Brockton has declared a Significant Weather Event in accordance with Ontario Regulation 366/18. All roads and sidewalks maintained by the Municipality will be in a "state of repair" until further notice. 

This declaration is not a notice of closed roads and the Municipality of Brockton will be providing continued winter maintenance to ensure public safety. Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to use an appropriate level of caution when travelling during this event.

The Operations Department is working hard to keep everyone safe due to the increased snowfall. Your cooperation is appreciated.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
