UPDATE: Three dead after crash near Arthur

Updated at 7 p.m. on March 3rd:

Three people are dead after a crash near Arthur Wednesday evening.

Wellington County OPP responded to the crash along Wellington Road 109 near Side Road 12 at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services and Mapleton Fire/Rescue also responded to the collision that involved a work van and a semi-tractor trailer. Two occupants were pronounced dead at the scene and two more people were rushed to a local hospital.

Shortly thereafter, one of the transported patients succumbed to their injuries and died at the hospital.

All three of the deceased were in the work van.

OPP have identified the individuals as 31-year-old Gurinder Jeet Singh Lidder of Mono, 22-year-old Karanpreet Singh Gill of Barrie and 24-year-old Sunny Khurana of Brantford.

The driver of the semi-tractor trailer suffered serious injuries.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
