Grey Bruce students facing longer bus rides

The Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board has learned students are facing longer bus rides.

Superintendent of Business Alecia Lantz provided an overview of the Transportation Services at the recent board meeting.

Lantz said it has been a challenging year due to bus driver shortages.

Since the beginning of the school year, 15 bus routes have been consolidated, resulting in longer ride times and capacity issues.

She said the transportation issues have caused students to miss school and parents have had to adjust work schedules.

The Consortium is constantly working on ways to provide the best day-to-day service.
