Goderich council learns about more development opportunities

The Mayor of Goderich says the town has to take advantage of opportunities and that includes what's being dubbed the H2O Highway.

Council was recently updated on the business idea.

Mayor John Grace notes it could stretch through Goderich and he believes they could improve the harbour to take advantage of that opportunity.

“So we might look at maybe expanding it again. We did expand it once and that body that we did expand is already booked and there's already people using that Dock 8 right now. So we're full already and we need to expand again,” explained Grace.

“Industry is moving fast, business is moving fast and the opportunities are only going to be there if you're ready to receive them and Goderich is going to be on the front row when it comes to the H20 highway. He says they have a great harbour and they should use it."

According to hwyh2o.com, Highway H2O is a 3,700 kilometre marine highway with direct access to the commercial, industrial & agricultural heartland of North America.
