UPDATE: Police reopen roadway as investigation into fatal crash in Perth County continues

**Updated as of 2:35 p.m., March 31st, 2022**

Police continue to investigate a fatal crash west of Molesworth on Perth Line 86.

OPP, Perth County Paramedics and the North Perth Fire Department responded to a call about the crash just after 6:30 a.m. Thursday. The crash involved two passenger vehicles.

One person was pronounced deceased at the scene, and two others have been transported to hospital with serious injuries. And one of the injured people has since been taken to a trauma centre by Ornge Air Ambulance. Police have now confirmed the identity of the deceased as 25-year-old Jordan Gilkinson of Howick Township.

The investigation is ongoing, and members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team are assisting Perth County OPP with the investigation.

The areas surrounding the section of Perth County Line 86/Amberley Road were closed for a lengthy period, but the roadway has since reopened.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
