Police on-scene at serious crash in Southgate

Grey-Bruce OPP are currently on-scene at what they're calling a "serious crash."

This morning at 10 a.m., police alongside the Dundalk Fire Department and Grey County EMS responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Grey Road 9, in the Township of Southgate. The lone driver of the vehicle was airlifted to a Hamilton-area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police are conducting an investigation into the crash alongside the OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team, West Region Emergency Response Team, and the West Region Canine Unit.

Grey Road 9 remains closed between Southgate Sideroad 15 and Southgate Sideroad 19. Drivers should avoid the area. If anyone witnessed this crash, please contact Grey-Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
