Stolen goods found after search of Wingham, Blyth properties

Two people face charges after police found over $95,000 worth of stolen goods in Huron County.

Huron County OPP executed two search warrants last Thursday, one on Charles Street in Wingham as well as a farm property on London Road near Blyth.

Police seized an SUV, ATV, a Gator Utility Vehicle along with landscape trailers and break and enter tools. There were also a number of stolen licence plates.

Hydromorphone-Dilaudid tablets and Morphine tablets were also confiscated.

A 36-year old Wingham man faces multiple charges including trafficking in stolen goods, fraud and five counts of alerting, destroying and removing a vehicle identification number.

A 21-year old woman from Blyth was charged with failing to comply with a release order.

The charges have yet to be proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
