Police investigating costly thefts from local businesses

Perth County OPP are investigating two recent thefts from local businesses.

On March 23rd, police were notified that a trailer had been stolen from a business located on Huron Road in the Township of Perth East. The 2022 Galvanized 12 foot Maxim dump trailer is valued at approximately $15,000. Also, police are investigating after receiving a report on March 22nd that equipment was stolen out of the cab area of tractors and combines at a business on Perth Road 164, north of Listowel. Police believe the equipment was stolen the previous night. The total amount of equipment lost is estimated at $65,000.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
