Pair charged by police following theft at local business

South Bruce OPP have charged two people following a recent theft from a local business.

On April 25th just after 5 p.m., police received a theft report from a business along Durham Street in Kincardine.  Officers arrived to find the suspected individuals were still in the business. They were both taken into custody without incident. As a result, a 38-year-old and a 33-year-old, both from Brockton, were arrested and charged with Theft Under $5,000 as well as possession of controlled substances.

Both of the accused will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton to answer to the charges, which have yet to be proven.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
