OPP investigate fatal collision in Greenock Township

South Bruce OPP officers were called to the scene of a fatal collision on April 30, 2022, at 4:37 p.m.

OPP reported a pick-up truck had left the roadway and come to rest in the Teeswater River along Concession 2 in Greenock Township.

Garrett Rickert, 23, of Waterloo Region, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team are assisting the South Bruce OPP with this investigation.

Concession 2 was closed near the collision scene for the protection of emergency responders. It has since re-opened to traffic.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
