UPDATE: Police locate driver following single vehicle crash

**Updated as of 10:55 a.m., May 5th, 2022**

Huron County OPP are thanking the public for their assistance locating a driver following a single vehicle crash this morning.

Police say just after 6:30 a.m. this morning, they received a call from a passerby that was driving on Bluewater Veteran's Highway Highway 21 near Ducharme Beach Road that spotted a heavily damaged grey SUV in a field next to the highway. Police learned the male driver walked away from the crash scene holding onto a blanket and looking visibly shaken. Police have confirmed they located the male driver after they responded to Crystal Springs Road south of Bayfield to investigate a tip about a pedestrian seen in the area matching the description provided.

Police were able to make contact with the individual and he declined medical assistance. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
