Owen Sound District Secondary School (OSDSS) construction students are celebrating Gold and Silver wins at the 2022 Skills Ontario Competition.

Two teams competed in the "Home and Team Building-Team of Four" category in this year's virtual provincial event.

Teams built a small shed at their school on Friday, April 22nd. Photos of their build projects were then sent to Skills Ontario to be judged among other submissions from across the province.

The OSDSS boy's team of Landon Heathers, Brody Graham, Cole Brown, and Austin Ellis took home gold, while the OSDSS girl's team of Juliet Williams, Keira Wrigley, Isla Adams, and Sequoia Timmerman won silver.

A media release says construction technology teacher, Owen Ferguson, helped guide  and support the students in their exploration of career pathways in the skilled trades.
