Suspicious package left at Wellington North home

Wellington County OPP are investigating after an object was thrown into a resident's window and a suspicious package was left outside the home.

Officers were called about the situation Thursday, April 5, 2022, about 11:15 p.m., on Concession Road 9, Wellington North.

Officers secured the area. The Explosive Disposal Unit (EDU) responded and determined that the package was inert and not a risk. Investigators continue to seek out the source and motive for this act.

OPP want to remind anyone who may come across a suspicious package - not to handle it … keep a safe distance - and call police immediately.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
