Huron Shores Hospice has very successful Hike for Hospice fundraiser

The Huron Shores Hospice had a very successful fundraiser recently to raise funding for the operation of the hospice.

The Hike for Hospice was held this past Saturday with a goal of raising $60,000. A release from Huron Shores Hospice shares that they had 169 registered hikers actively raising funds for the Hike for Hospice event. There were also kids and virtual hikers participating, and in total so far they've raised $78,488.96, with donations still coming in. The top fundraising team was the Nuclear Powered Design Team raising $18,997, and the top individual was Shelly Parker who raised $6,822.68.

The Huron Shores Hospice is thanking all their hikers and all their fundraising partners for the successful event which will go directly towards hospice care free of charge for local families and their loved ones.

Second Team: Bruce Power Operational $ Project Services raising $10322.91

Top Individual Fundraisers:

1st Shelly Parker: $6,822.68

2nd David Kennedy $5,760.50
