Pandemic death toll rises in Huron Perth

Huron Perth Public Health has reported another fatality in the region due to COVID-19.

The latest death was added this week, linked to an outbreak at the Hillside Manor long-term care home in Stratford.

A death was also recorded a week ago at Hillside, though an outbreak at the facility is now over.

There have now been 109 fatalities due to the virus.

There are nine active outbreak in Huron Perth, three in long term care, two in retirement homes, one at Stratford General Hospital, and three in congregate living settings.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
