OPP seize drugs and a weapon from Meaford home

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Units from Grey-Bruce, Wellington County, Huron-Perth, and OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) searched a property in Meaford on Wednesday.

As a result, a 43-year-old female and 18-year-old male, both from Meaford, were arrested and $32,437 worth of drugs and other property, including an unspecified weapon, were seized.

The woman is facing a weapons charge and both individuals face drug possession charges.

OPP said that both of the accused were released and will appear in an Owen Sound court at a later date.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
