Grand Bend stabbing victim dies in hospital

Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged three people in connection to a stabbing incident in Grand Bend.

OPP, Lambton Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and the Anishinabek Police Service (APS) Kettle Point responded to an assault in a parking lot on Huron Street at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Friday.

EMS transported the victim, 27-year-old Zacharey Hartman of Exeter, to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Perth County OPP later arrested three individuals following information about a suspect vehicle from Lambton County officers.

An 18-year-old and 22-year-old, both from Stratford, were charged with second degree murder, while a 21-year-old from West Perth faces the charge of accessory after the fact.

All three have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
