COVID-19 claims another life in Huron Perth

Huron Perth Public Health reported another fatality due to COVID-19 this week. That brings the death toll due to the pandemic to 110 residents.

Outbreaks continue at Huronview long term care in Huron East, and Maitland Manor long term care in Goderich. There were two patient cases at Maitland. At Huronview,  33 residents and 16 staff tested positive.

There are also outbreaks at two retirement homes, Exeter Villa in South Huron and McCarthy Place in Stratford. There have been four positive cases at Exeter Villa and 33 at McCarthy place.

The outbreak continues at Stratford General, but is expected to be declared over soon.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
