Perth OPP make multiple impaired driving arrests over long weekend

Perth County OPP made four arrests for impaired driving during the long weekend.

In a release, police say that the four arrested drivers ranged in age from 23 to 68-years-old.

Charges included operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs, possession of over 30 grams dried cannabis, failure or refusal to comply with demand, operate unsafe vehicle and speeding 1-49km/h over posted limit.

All of the accused parties were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.

Arrests were made on Perth Line 20 and Line 36 in West Perth, Main Street in the Township of Perth East and Line 86 in North Perth.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
