Fundraiser for Women's House Serving Bruce and Grey

Close to $7,000 was raised for Women's House Serving Bruce and Grey through two Walk a Mile in Her Shoes events over the weekend.

They took place in Kincardine and Port Elgin.

Close to 30 men walked a mile in red high-heeled shoes to not only raise money but to raise awareness of gender-based violence.

According to Women's House Serving Bruce and Grey, one in every four women is abused.

Donations can still be made through the organization's website at whsbg.on.ca/are-you-man-enough.
