UPDATE: Road re-opens after crews battle residential fire in Perth East

**Updated as of 12:40 p.m., June 6th, 2022**

The Perth East and West Perth Fire departments are still on-scene at a blaze in Perth East, but the fire is under control and the road has re-opened.

The OPP confirmed via Twitter this morning that police and fire crews responded to a residential fire on Line 73 in Perth East. That road was closed between Perth Road 121 and Perth Road 124 for several hours, but has since re-opened. No injuries have been reported so far. Drivers are asked to yield for emergency vehicles when necessary.
