County seeking registered nurses to staff local long-term care homes

Bruce County is looking to hire more registered nurses for two local long-term care facilities.

In a release on the county website, Bruce County states they are "seeking Part-Time and Full-Time Registered Nurses at Gateway Haven in Wiarton and Brucelea Haven in Walkerton. Successful hires may be eligible for a $1,000 signing incentive."

The release also states "long-term Care RNs do very important work in our community, caring for our senior residents. Their efforts ensure Bruce County’s long-term care homes are places where residents live with dignity, safety, security, and comfort."

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
