Police searching for missing person from local First Nations community

Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation Police, and Grey Bruce OPP are trying to locate a missing person from Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation.

Police are searching for 30 year-old Sonya Nadjiwon, who was last seen on Lighthouse Road on Thursday June 2nd at 5:30 p.m. She is an Indigenous female described as being 5'5", roughly 110 pounds with a slim build. She has medium light brown hair which she often wears up, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt, grey shorts, and white and brown running shoes.

If anyone has any information on Sonya Nadjiwon's whereabouts, please contact the OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
