62-year-old man charged following fatal crash

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) made an arrest after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 6 Friday, June 17.

Alongside the West Grey Police Service, West Grey Fire Department and Grey County Emergency Medical Services (EMS), OPP said that they responded to a collision involving a motorcycle in the Township of West Grey at approximately 6:39 p.m.

It was reported that the driver of the motorcycle was transported to the Durham Hospital where they were pronounced dead. Police have identified the motorcyclist as 24-year-old Bailey Durocher, of Georgian Bluffs.

The 62-year-old driver of the second vehicle was arrested and faces the following charges:

· Operation of a vehicle while impaired

· Operation of a vehicle while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

· Operation of a vehicle causing death (two counts)

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
