Goderich looking to expand harbour land

Goderich Mayor, John Grace, says the town is applying for funding from the Federal government for another expansion of the Goderich Harbour.

Grace says it's all about creating opportunities for another expansion of the harbour land. We would like to expand the harbour another ten acres. We did this six or seven years ago and we built four acres. That acreage is gone and used up.”

Grace points out Goderich has the only deep-water harbour on the east shore of Lake Huron. “We need more land and we're going to the Federal government to see whether we can get funding for it. So, it's a pretty exciting time for Goderich and an opportunity for Goderich and the Harbour expansion.”.
