Saugeen Shores Police save child from locked car

Saugeen Shores Police had to break a car window in an effort to save a child who had accidentally been locked inside a vehicle. 

The parent of the child contacted police immediately after realizing that the doors had locked, and officers attended the residential address around 5:30pm yesterday. 

Police responded rapidly due to the 31 degree temperature and Heat Warning in place. 

Police were able to break a window and unlock the car.

EMS attended and ensured the child was healthy and no injuries were reported.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
