OPP investigate armed bank robbery in Harriston

Provincial police are seeking three suspects linked to an armed bank robbery in Harriston on Wednesday.

At around 3 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a reported robbery at a bank on Elora Street South. Police say three individuals entered the bank with hand guns and demanded cash from staff.

The trio then took off with an unspecified amount of money, heading south on Elora Street in a silver sedan before police arrived.

Police say there were also customers inside the bank during the hold-up, no injuries have been reported.

Anyone in the area around the time of the robbery is asked to check video surveillance and/or dash-cam footage if they have it for possible evidence.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
