OPP widening Harriston bank robbery investigation

The investigation into a bank robbery in Harriston is widening.

On Wednesday, June 22, three suspects armed with handguns entered a bank on Elora Street at around 3 p.m. and threatened staff and clients.

The robbers then fled the scene in a silver sedan with an unknown amount of money

Through further investigation it has been determined that the vehicle suspected to have been used in the crime was a silver-grey, 2012 Chevrolet Cruze.

This vehicle was reported to have been stolen in Halton on June 21 and and recovered in Mississauga on June 24.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
