New Hanover CAO officially assumes role

The Town of Hanover officially has their new CAO.

At the council meeting on July 11th, Hanover Council officially appointed Sherri Walden as the new CAO, taking over for the now retired Brian Tocheri. Walden first began working for the town in 1992, serving 18 years as Recreation Programs Manager. She progressed to Director of Parks, Recreation and Culture in 2010 and has spent the last 12 years leading that department.

All matters related to the Hanover CAO office can now be directed to Sherri Walden at swalden@hanover.ca or by calling 519.364.2780 ext. 1228. Brian Tocheri has agreed to stay in the office for a brief period to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.

“I look forward to continuing to work with our committed council, dedicated Town staff and various engaged partners as we move forward with strategic priorities for the benefit of our community,” states Walden.
