Scooter driver taken to hospital following collision

The driver of a motorized scooter had to be transported to hospital following a collision in Hanover.

According to Hanover Police Chief Chris Knoll, officers responded to a collision involving a pickup truck and a scooter on 7th Avenue on Thursday.

When they arrived, officers found a truck that had collided with a scooter as it attempted to leave a parking lot.

The driver of the truck, a 76-year-old man from West Grey, has been charged with Careless Driving.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
