UPDATE: Police locate homicide suspect

The West Grey Police Service (WGPS) and the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a homicide that took place in the Municipality of West Grey on Friday.

At approximately 3 a.m. WGPS responded to a report of a shooting at a residence on Grey Road 4, while later Friday evening, OPP discovered a deceased 62-year-old individual in the area of Walters Falls. The two incidents are believed to be linked, and both areas will see an increased police presence during the investigation.

On Sunday, the WGPS confirmed that they have located the suspect, a man from West Grey. He was arrested at approximately 3:43 p.m. following a tip that he had been spotted in the Walters Falls area.

Police had been searching for the 34-year-old since Friday and considered him a risk to public safety.
