Multiple COVID-19 outbreaks in Midwestern Ontario

COVID-19 outbreaks are affecting several hospitals, long-term care homes, and congregate living areas in Midwestern Ontario.

The Grey Bruce health Unit reported outbreaks of the coronavirus at Country Lane Long Term Care in Chatsworth, Wiarton Retirement Home, and Grey Bruce Health Services' Southampton hospital.

Maitland Manor Long Term Care Home in Goderich is also experiencing an outbreak, with 13 residents and one staff member contracting the virus.

And Queensway Nursing Home in Bluewater  is in outbreak protocol, after two staff members tested positive. There are also four active outbreaks in congregate living settings.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health is reporting several outbreaks as well, including the Louis Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest, affecting the in-patient medicine unit.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
