Seaforth Hospital Foundation announces pledge

The Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation has announced a pledge of $655,000 over the next two years to the Seaforth Community Hospital.

Foundation Chair, Ron Lavoie, says they don't usually announce a pledge of this size, but they wanted to give the hospital some direction in terms of the community's on-going support.

“We wanted to give the hospital some direction in terms of the community's on-going support, so that they can better plan for the betterment of the hospital and the capital equipment needs over the next two years and the commitment to fund those needs from the foundation,” said Lavoie.

“The main thing that it will support is the medical imaging team and ultra-sounds. And then there's a number of other critical equipment needs for the lab and in-patient units and emergency department, wheel chairs, staff training etcetera.”

Lavoie says the funds will help with a number of upgrades, but the main thing that it will support is the medical imaging team and ultra-sounds.

There is also a number of other critical equipment needs for the lab and in-patient units.
