Break-in theft at local business being investigated by police

Perth County OPP are investigating a recent break-and-enter theft that saw items stolen from a local business.

On July 30th, police received a report of a break-and-enter theft at a business on Fraser Street in the Township of Perth East. At 7:30 p.m. that evening, the owner of the business was alerted by an audible alarm from the store location and contacted police. Officers attended the scene and spoke with the owner. Unknown suspects broke into the business and stole some jewelry. The stolen property is valued at approximately $3,000.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have information should contact Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
