Grey Transit sees huge ridership increase

The expansion of the Grey County Transit Route lead to a 240% increase in average ridership since April 1, 2022

County council was told that since the county added more days and more runs per day in April, the public has jumped on board.

However, high fuel costs are increasing operating costs.

Grey County Council has directed staff to prepare a report outlining the short, medium and long-term sustainability of the service.

Council will consider an extra $322,000 over the 2022 approved budget, as part of next years budget talks.
