Clinton resident charged with counselling to commit muder

An individual from Clinton is facing a charge with counselling to commit murder.

According to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Huron County, investigators were tipped off on August 15 that the suspect had solicited help in committing a murder.

Members of the Huron County OPP Crime Unit and Criminal Investigation Branch then launched an investigation.

As a result, a 75-year-old from Clinton has been charged. They remain in police custody.

The identity of the accused is not being released in order to protect the victim.

No other details have been released.
