Test drive electric vehicles in Wellington County

Wellington County is hosting a Plug’n Drive’s Mobile Electric Vehicle Education Trailer at the Wellington County Museum and Archives grounds.

The trailer, known as MEET, is staffed with EV Ambassadors able to answer questions about owning, operating and maintaining electric vehicles.

Vehicles you can test drive include; Hyundai IONIQ 5, Kia Sorento PHEV, Hyundai Tucson Plug-in Hybrid, and Volvo XC40 Recharge.

The event is on now, and runs until September 4th. It’s open Thursdays from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Fridays to Sundays from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

“We are pleased to be hosting the EV Education Trailer for our community members and also our County staff,” says Karen Chisholme, Climate Change and Sustainability Manager from The County of Wellington. “With few dealerships having EVs available for test drives right now, this is a great opportunity to explore EVs to make more informed decisions when ordering their new vehicles.”

Learn more about the initiative, and register for your test drive online.
