Theft from new home under construction being investigated by police

A theft from a new home that is under construction is being investigated by Perth County OPP.

Police say that sometime between 7 p.m. on August 22nd and 7 a.m. on the 23rd, someone entered a new framed build and stole a generator and copper wires on Malcolm Crescent in Listowel. The culprits also damaged some electrical wiring throughout the new home. Police are reminding the public to report suspicious activity that is witnessed immediately, and to lock all doors, sheds, garages and outbuildings on your property when you aren't home.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
