Teenage driver from Harriston killed in crash

A single-vehicle collision in Palmerston claimed the life of a young driver on Friday.

The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services, and Palmerston Fire Department responded to the report of a single-vehicle crash on Minto Road at approximately 8 o'clock Friday night.

Police said the 16-year-old driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the Harriston teen is not being released at the request of the family.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
