NWMO will study biodiversity in Bruce County

Scientists contracted by the Nuclear Waste Management Organization will be conducting biodiversity studies in Culross Township through the end of this year.

Bruce County says "the scientists will be collecting data for aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, attributes, species abundance, and distribution, as well as potential habitats for local species of interest."

The sites are located on Concessions 1, 2, 13 and 15 in Culross, and are within the study area for the NWMO's proposed site for a deep geological repository.
Anyone interested in allowing scientists onto their property to collect data can contact
 sbenvironment@nwmo.ca, or by calling 416-419-0810.
