Events planned to celebrate Welcoming Week in Huron County

Nearly a dozen events across Huron County are planned in conjunction with this year's annual Welcoming Week event, happening from September 9th to 18th.

People are encouraged to join activities such as the Huron Multicultural Festival, a "new neighbour" barbecue, a movie night, hikes or a webinar on inclusive workplaces.

Welcoming Week is an annual campaign and celebration to showcase the movement of communities striving to be more welcoming places for all, including immigrants.

This year's Welcoming Week marks the tenth anniversary of what is now a global event. This is Huron County's second year participating.
