High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

The Clinton Raceway wrapped its 2022 season with its 42nd Annual Charity Drivers Challenge and Ontario Sires Stakes action on Sunday. 
Over $11,000 was raised throughout the day for the local legion branch.
J Harris captured one of the seven challenge races and finished in the top three five additional times to capture his first Clinton Raceway Charity Drivers Challenge, finishing with 149 points. 
Second place went to Doug McNair with 148 points, and James MacDonald came in third place with 142 points. 
The Clinton Raceway looks forward to the 2023 season, and says fans can look forward to a new grandstand that will begin construction in the near future.
