United Way Perth Huron to launch new campaign

The Perth Huron United Way will host a campaign kick-off event on September 11 in the parking lot of the North Huron Westcast Community Complex.

United Way Community Development Manager for Northern Huron, Lisa Harper, says the event will run from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday.

“We're going to have a volunteer fair inside the Complex and that is being organized and run by the Wingham Community Connectors group and it's free to attend. We're also going to have the Beaver Tails food truck. The Wingham Air Cadets are going to be doing a bbq,” she said.

Harper says they're also going to have live music provided by four local musicians.

Harper says this will feature the official announcement of their whole campaign of the United Way Perth Huron.

“We're going to be making that announcement right around four o'clock and we're going to have some dignitaries join us and bring some greetings from the municipality.”

Harper says more information about the launch can be found on the United Way Perth Huron website.
