Midwestern Ontario political leaders send condolences to the Royal Family

Political leaders in Midwestern Ontario are offering their condolences to members of the Royal Family after the passing of Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II.

Perth County Warden Jim Aitcheson released a statement on behalf of council, saying Perth County joins with people across the Commonwealth and around the world in mourning this significant loss.

All flags at Perth County buildings will be lowered to half-staff from Thursday until following the funeral.

Warden Kelly Linton released a statemen on behalf of Wellington County Council and the residents of Wellington County, extending deepest condolences. He says Wellington County joins people around the world in mourning this great loss.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
