High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

A new event and competition is coming to Kincardine this month.
On Saturday, September 17 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., the inaugural Fit Body Games fitness competition will come to the Davidson Centre Main Field in Kincardine. The event is being hosted by Goderich &amp; Kincardine Fit Body Boot Camp, and will also feature members from Cambridge and Kitchener.
The organizers are expecting over 100 athletes to come compete, and fans can come enjoy a food truck, local vendors, an entertainment zone including face painting, yard games and a DJ.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Women's House serving Grey-Bruce. All are welcome to attend the event and make donations to Women's House.
