Multiple flags damaged at local residence prompting police investigation

A number of flags being displayed at a residence were recently destroyed, causing a police investigation.

Perth County OPP say they responded to a report of mischief to multiple flags at a residence located on Albert Avenue North in Listowel. Police say an investigation determined that three Pride flags, a Black Lives Matter flag, an every child matters flag, and a flag stating "Abortion is a woman's choice" were all damaged. In a statement to CKNX News, Perth County OPP say they "do not believe that this is hate motivated."

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or have any information regarding it, to call Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
