Successful summer at the ABCA

A Conservation Educator with the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority says they've enjoyed a very successful summer this year.

“We saw over four hundred campers and kids throughout different programs and we actually travelled quite a bit as well to visit other day camps and do programming across the watershed, so we're quite pleased with how the summer went,” said Denise Iszczuk.

Iszczuk says they tailor their programs to appeal to the interests of the group they're working with. “We did team-building, we did some bug collecting and focusing on the beautiful bugs that are out there, what's in the water and what's in the pond programs. So, yeah, whatever the interest of the group,” she added.

Iszczuk says there were a lot of groups looking for special guests and alternatives to regular day camp programs and they were happy to step in and meet their needs.
